The Current Executive Team
Stephani Carter is a LEED® Accredited professional. She graduated from NAIT Interior Design Technology with honours in 2001 and has been very pleased to be able to return for the past four years to lecture to the graduating class on sustainable design and products and materials. Stephani worked for a few design firms in Edmonton including Manasc Isaac Architects where she lead their “Green Interior Design Department”. Stephani was actively involved with creating the Alberta Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council in 2003 and has remained active ever since. Stephani created and teaches green-healthy materials courses for Trimline Training Centre and Metro College and Solar Energy Society of Alberta and Grant MacEwan . Stephani is a self proclaimed "volunteer-aholic" and also volunteers for the Clean Air Strategic Alliance - Indoor Air Quality Team.
In 2007, Alberta Finance and Enterprise and C3 EnviroTech Solutions approached Stephani to manage a provincial online database, which turned into what is today Green Alberta.

Brandy Burdeniuk is a graduate of the Industrial Design program at the University of Alberta and a LEED® Accredited professional. Prior to starting EcoAmmo with Stephani Carter in 2007, Brandy worked for three major architectural firms, contributing her knowledge about green products and materials, as well as her outstanding design skills. EcoAmmo is a consulting firm that offers sustainable research and education about the built environment, and manages Green Alberta. Although Brandy is young, her passion and knowledge of sustainable design is an important and valuable resource for the industry. She believes that collaboration and diversity is key to finding environmentally sensitive solutions, and since January 2008, Brandy has taught Green Design at the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension, a course she developed with the EcoAmmo team.
Andrea Pelland graduated from the University of Alberta with an Honours Degree in the History of Art, Design and Visual Culture. Andrea's main areas of study were the history and theory of sustainable design, architectural rating systems, and sustainable communities. She has given lectures on surrealist architecture and the Glasgow Four, and believes that design can change the world. Andrea was an active board member of MADE in Edmonton, and has participated in numerous design chartettes regarding the City of Edmonton. Andrea brings a unique background and fierce organizational skills to EcoAmmo and we are extremely pleased to have her on the team.
Founding Team
Sheniz Kassam graduated from Carleton University in 2003 with an honours degree in Public Affairs and Policy Management, specializing in International Development Studies. Throughout her studies in Canada, Mexico and the Netherlands she pursued research in social and environmental issues on a global scale.
From 2003 to 2006 Sheniz traveled and worked in over 25 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, focusing on project management and community development. She was instrumental in the construction of several community centers and schools on refugee camps, in slum neighborhoods and rural communities. After returning to Edmonton, Sheniz has worked on numerous short contracts related to marketing and green business.
Michael Rawson Clark is currently a Masters student at the University of Alberta studying the evolution of plant competition. During the past three years he has conducted original research on the impacts of invasive crayfish in the North Saskatchewan River, soil insect and spider biodiversity on green roofs, basic plant ecology in rough-fescue prairie systems, and climate change effects on aquatic ecosystems. He is currently the Executive Director of the Campus Sustainability Coalition, a group of students, faculty and staff helping the University of Alberta to become a sustainable community.
